Animal Health Requirements for Exhibition

( The following is excerpted from the above title 2 CSR 30-2.040, as pertaining to equi-dae exhibiting in Missouri. For further information and copies of the above titles you may wish to write or call the: Dept. of Agriculture, Veterinary Div., P.O. Box 630, Jefferson City, MO 65102, or call 314-751-4359, 7:30 a.m. to 4:40 p.m. (CST), Monday through Friday. )

Purpose: This rule is designed to revise and clarify Missouri’s regulations on intrastate and interstate requirements for exhibition.

(6) Exhibition Requirements on Horses and other Equidae.

(A) Intrastate (All equidae, horses, mules, ponies and asses in Missouri to be

exhibited in Missouri only.)

1. All equidae to be exhibited must be free of clinical signs of an infection or

contagious disease.

2. Effective January 1, 1991, all organized equidae shows, rodeos, organized

trail rides and public boarding stables accepting equidae from other states as

well as Missouri origin equidae will required proof of a negative Equine

Infectious Anemia (EIA) test within twelve (12) months prior to acceptance.

Events limiting admissions to only Missouri origin equidae are exempt from

this testing requirement at the discretion of the management or sponsors.

Equestrian Disability Walk Pleas-ure Class-IR (Independent Rider) and HH (Horse Handler) Western/English

Walk only. Rider 6 yrs. & older. Handler must be at least 16 yrs. of age. Horse will be shown at a walk only on the rail both directions, line up, back. Handlers must stand with their riders in line up.

Equestrian Disability Walk and Trot Pleasure Class– IR (Independent Rider) and HH (Horse Handler) Western/English

Riders 6 yrs. & older. Handler must be at least 16 yrs. of age. Horse will be shown at a walk and trot both directions, line up, back. Handlers must stand with their riders in line up.

EQUISTRIAN DISABILITY-- WALK PLEASURE CLASS-IR (INDEPENDENT RIDER) AND HH (HORSE HANDLER) WEST/ENGLISH, WALK ONLY.RIDERS 6 YRS. AND OLDER. HANDLER MUST BE AT LEAST 16 YRS OF AGE. HORSE WILL BE SHOWN AT A WALK ONLY ON THE RAIL BOTH HH WITH THEIR RIDERS IN LINEUP.
 
EQUISTRIAN DISABILITY -- WALK AND TROT PLEASURE CLASS-IR (INDEPENDENT RIDER) AND HH (HORSE HANDLER), WEST/ENGLISH. HORSE WILL BE SHOWN AT A WALK AND TROT BOTH DIRECTIONS, REVERSE, LINE UP, BACK. HANDLERS MUST STAND WITH THEIR RIDERS IN LINE UP. RIDERS 6 YRS AND OLDER. HANDLER MUST BE AT LEAST 16 YRS OF AGE.
